Do I Need Liability Insurance to Clean with Cleopatra?

No. You are not required to carry liability insurance to join the CleoCrew or accept jobs. You can work on the platform without it.


Should I Get Liability Insurance Anyway?

Yes. It is a smart move.
Liability insurance protects you if something goes wrong during a job.

Examples include:

  • Accidental damage

  • Customer complaints

  • Spills or mistakes that cause repairs

  • Issues that require extra cleaning or replacement

Without insurance, you may have to pay out of pocket. Most professional cleaners carry insurance to protect themselves and present a more credible business.


How Much Does Liability Insurance Cost?

Most cleaner policies cost about 20 to 45 dollars per month. Pricing depends on:

  • Your coverage limit

  • The provider

  • Any optional add-ons

Basic general liability coverage is usually enough for most cleaners.

Does Cleopatra Provide Insurance?

No. Cleopatra does not provide liability insurance, workers compensation, or health insurance. As an independent contractor, you decide what coverage you want.


What Happens If Something Gets Damaged?

If a client reports damage, we will:

  • Review the claim

  • Collect photos and details

  • Ask for your explanation

  • Determine responsibility

If you caused the damage, you may be responsible for the cost. Liability insurance can cover these situations and prevent large financial losses.


Do I Need to Show Proof of Insurance?

No. We do not require cleaners to upload proof of insurance at this time. If this changes, all CleoCrew members will be notified in advance.


Does Having Insurance Help Me Get More Jobs?

Sometimes. Clients feel safer when they know a cleaner is insured. In the future, we may add an optional insured badge for cleaners who upload proof of coverage.
